morning buzz

On my way to a morning meeting I stopped at the new Magazines and Coffee (MAC) located in the new TWA/Crossroads Garage at 1722 Main Street, next door to Souperman. I ordered their signature drink, the Howard Hughes ("hazelnut and chocolate syrup with gold flecks served with a moist towelette for the compulsive handwasher") and browsed the magazines. The drink was a little too sweet, I didn't really get a moist towelette, and was disappointed to see that the "gold flecks" were really just yellow sugar, but the extensive selection of magazines all but made up for it! I'll definitely make a return trip the next time I have a layover in the crossroads district!
