roses are red

well, mine were pink...but, tonight was the night--i learned how to make roses from icing!

i was pleasantly surprised at how they turned out! it's much easier than it looks-and i'm sure they look better than they taste (the icing is just crisco and powdered sugar!)

this week's cake is lemon with raspberry filling. and, of course, lots of icing roses!
